rusks



The One has taken to eating home-made rusks for breakfast.

And I have taken to baking them for him, using his mother's recipe which I know he enjoys. Since our oven is tiny and only has space for one of the two baking trays dictated by the recipe, and since we only have one baking tray to start with, it is a cumbersome process: bake, unpan, dry; bake unpan, dry.

It gives me such satisfaction to see The One enjoying something that I have prepared for him with my own hands.
