We've done it again and adopted another pet.
This time we are going big. Well, we have been discussing getting a proper guard dog for when we move into our house, which incidentally is a week from today. We have yet to crack a single box to pack, but that's a story for another time.
The ideal opportunity to have a guard dog unexpectedly arose during the week when one of Mother's connections (I told you) had a litter of Rottweilers that she was giving away to good homes. I had both greedy hands open and this morning at 7:00 we collected our wonderful little female bundle.
We have named her Anna. A good, strong name.
I had to be at work at 8:00 to open for a client who was supposed to collect some stuff. The prat only showed up at 8:45. Anyway.
I couldn't wait to get home at 13:00 to spend time with the baby. She is absolutely the cutest thing ever. She's still a bit nervous and scared, but in the last two or three hours she has relaxed a quite bit and even displayed some of her protective skills when she chased off a broom monster that had stupidly ventured too close to her family.
At the moment she is fast asleep on The One's belly. For having been up so early this morning, I think we all deserve a nice afternoon nap. See you some later.
Not much of a snooze, I only slept for about ten minutes. Baby likes to drape herself artistically around your head. Can't see her doing that when she gets bigger.
